If you are looking for a unique vacation, this ranch, on the confluence of the Salmon River, and Crooked Creek, is the place to come. Access to the ranch is part of the adventure, with a spectacular drive to road’s end, at Vinegar Bar, and then a 30 minute jet boat trip, into the ranch. A charter flight from Boise, can also be arranged. Once there, an abundance of activities are available, including riding, hiking, fishing, trap shooting, archery, volleyball, horseshoes, swimming in crystal clear pools, and nature trips to see elk, moose, and rare Rocky Mountain Bighorn sheep. The accommodations are in cabins, with private baths, wood-burning stoves, and fireplaces. Shepp Ranch serves family-style meals, at two large dining tables.
