Located in the Southern Illinois Shawnee National Forest, this stone-and-timber lodge, listed in the National Register of Historic Places, is surrounded by 12 one-room Historic Cabins, 18 two-room Prairie Duplexes, and four Bluff Cabins. Giant City Lodge contains many original oak furnishings, a massive stone fireplace, The Bald Knob dining room, three meeting rooms, and a great room lobby. The lodge also has an outdoor swimming pool, children's pool, a gift shop, and a cocktail lounge.
