DeSoto House Hotel

This historically restored hotel opened in 1855, making it Illinois' oldest operating hotel. It hosted Abraham Lincoln, and served as presidential campaign headquarters for Ulysses S. Grant. It features 55 unique, oversized Victorian-style guest rooms with high ceilings and beautiful decor. Also offered is enclosed guest parking, three restaurants, Green Street Tavern & Restaurant, The Courtyard and Generals, numerous shops, meeting, banquet, wedding facilities, a self-guided historic walking tour, and a "Quiet Room" to sit and enjoy the hotel's historic video.
