McDonough County Courthouse Downtown Macomb, 309-833-1315, This majestic old courthouse was built in the summer of 1872, of limestone and red brick. The architecture structure is Second Empire Revival. The original Mansard Roof was replaced in 1890.

The Old Bailey House (circa 1887) 100 South Campbell, Macomb, IL 61455, 309-833-1727, This beautiful Eastlake style Victorian structure, maintained by the McDonough County Historical Preservation Society, was built by W. S. Bailey, founder and first president of Union National Bank of Macomb. It features hard wood and parquet floors, wood and iron fireplaces, elegant lighting fixtures and a large elaborate cherry staircase. The main floor of the Old Bailey House is open to the public on weekdays from 9am-5pm, and weekends by appointment.

University Art Gallery/Museum Located at Western Illinois University, 309-298-1587, This musuem and art gallery is devoted to collecting, preserving, exhibiting ,and interpreting quality works of visual art. It offers the university and the public opportunities to study the arts and the diverse cultures which produced them, as well as enjoyment in viewing them.
