    The original log house, on this German homestead, was built in the 1870's, with the rest being added in 1902. Two guest rooms are offered in the Farmstead, while six guest rooms are available in the Bunkhouse. All of the guest rooms feature antique furnishings of the peroid, and have either private or shared baths. A hearty country breakfast is served in the restored Log Room portion, of the Homestead. Guests will enjoy exploring the original farm buildings in the barnyard and pasture area, as well as the rolling farmland of this ten-acre nature preserve.   map

    The Poor Farm served as home for the homeless until 1949. Today it is a place of hospitality for area visitors. It features four suites and three gracious guest rooms, all with private baths, along with a 90 foot hallway, hundreds of books, antique player piano, and many artifacts and antiques. A hearty country breakfast is included with your stay.
