Visit this 1878 house, which is representative of Midwestern prairie-type architecture and features antiques and artifacts from all over the country. The house is furnished in the style of the 1880s and showcases a pianoforte played at Illinois Governor Ford's inauguration in 1842, a 30-day clock, a bust of a young woman attributed to the sculptor Lorado Taft, a courtroom chair used by Illinois Supreme Court Judge Cartwright, a large 1864 map of the county, and much more.
