Owned and operated by the State of Illinois, the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum is over 40,000 square feet of state-of-the-art exhibit space with a permanent exhibit comprised of two "Journeys", two Theaters, a Treasures Gallery, Mrs. Lincoln's Attic, and Ask Mr. Lincoln. The presidential library is a reference and research library featuring more than 12 million documents, books, and artifacts relating to all areas of Illinois history. Collections include Civil War history and the Henry Horner Lincoln collection. The Library is also used for genealogical research. The Gettysburg Address is on display in the Museum's "Treasure Gallery."
