This recreation area encompasses 2,200-acres on the west side of Lake Shelbyville. It features several picnic areas, scattered throughout the park, with grills, tables, water and sanitary facilities. There are 56 Class A reservable camping sites with electricity, showers, water hydrants, fire blocks and picnic tables, along with Class B/S, and Class D sites. Three marked nature trails are available, as well as a 12-mile backpack trail for the more adventurous hiker, and a three-mile cross-country ski trail.
