How on earth do you get a simple question answered about Shadysides activites. I have called a number with no one answering. I have been on several sites trying to get the answer as to when the fireworks promised at the park are ever going to materialize. They were to be shot off on the 27th and despite no rain they were cancelled. The problem being that they seem to have disappeared and are not in the paper for a follow up time. Are they just simply going to fade away or be done at some wierd time that has nothing to do with anything. The inability to simply place a few signs at the front of the park telling people what was going on would have helped. Not all of us were glued to our computers. THere has been no follow up in the paper either. Shadyside really handled things poorly for the public and needs to have more organization when they put on a program. Just allowing other confused people to tell other people what is going on is just tacky. Get it together and get the informations out there. You took a fun and well organized program and over the sight of low haging clouds had people confused and not sure what to do. We can't control nature, but we can change things in a more organized and thorough way. Even when we went down to the Paramount the girls out front didn't seem aware of how things were handled, how people were notified or when the fireworks would be shot off. We could not attend the concert because we had a trunk full of food and could not leave it in the heat. BTW it never rained so all could have gone off as it should have Too bad such a usually pleasant eveing had to be ruined over a little over reaction and lack of common sense when handling plan changes.
