  • Jazz Blues and Swing Festival

    Held every year in May, this annual festival features three stages set up all over the downtown area that offers great jazz, blues, and swing music by local artists. The event also features high school, college, and professional musicians, as well as a dance contest.

  • Celebration Of Freedom

    This is a week-long event honoring our Heroes. Veterans’ activities, concerts, ice cream, socials, essay contests, speakers and a parade in November.

  • Jazz Swing and Blues Festival and Art Show

  • Prairie Port Festival

    Last full weekend in July, this festival is a four day event. Enjoy an Ice Cream Social in conjunction with the Prairie Port Queen Pageant. There will be a celebrity concert, parade, arts & crafts, dance, and bingo. This celebration brings festival lovers from many states.

    “It takes a community to raise a child.” Community Block Party the last Saturday in September with friends, family, businesses, and organizations including Butler County Community College and USD 490. Local churches provide a food court.

  • Midwest Regional Baseball Tournament
