Considered one of the best natural history museums, the Sternberg Museum of Natural History's collections include "one of the finest scientific collections of Pternadon material, the largest collection of fossil seeds and an outstanding collection of Cretaceous fossils." Housing several exhibits, the Sternberg Museum of Natural History features a realistic Cretaceous diorama and an extremely well-preserved Gillicus with a Xyphactinus (fish-within-a-fish fossil) collected by George F. Sternberg in 1952.
