Old Talbott Tavern, The

Our group of 4 couples just completed our stay at the Old Talbott B&B, and it can be broken down into the Good, Bad and Ugly. GOOD: staff was warm and friendly. Entertainment and bar selection was GREAT, although VERY loud on Fri & Sat. If given a choice on a weekend, stay in Generals quarters or Lincoln Suite. BAD: breakfast?? Really, was that breakfast? Sunday brunch was spent at the Corner Bakery just a block away. GO THERE FOR Breakfast or lunch. Chef Debbie is AWESOME and food is spectacular!! UGLY: We know old world charm and expect age to show in some items. But you can at least CLEAN the rooms. Wouldn't walk barefoot, and cringed if we had to sit in a chair or sofa. Woodwork/walls/floors ALL need a good cleaning. Our next trip we'll stay next door at the Jailer's Inn and go to Old Talbotts for the Bourbon and entertainment. The staff in the bar treated us like family... miss you ladies already (thanks, LISA!)!!
