Reputed to be the oldest western stagecoach stop in America, the Old Talbott Tavern has been a favorite stop since the 1700’s. Among the famous guests who stayed here were young Abraham Lincoln, Daniel Boone, and exiled French King Louis Phillipe. Today the Bed & Breakfast offers five rooms furnished with period antiques. All rooms have a private bath, refrigerator, and coffee maker. The dining room offers a variety of entrees including several house specialties such as Chicken Phillipe, Queen Marie Salad, and Kentucky Hot Brown. The Bourbon Bar is open seven days a week and was voted one of the top bourbon bars in the world by Whiskey Magazine. There is live entertainment in the Bourbon Bar Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings.
