Driving across the Cajun Prairie it is easy to forget that there was ever anything on this flat, moist table of earth but rice and soybean fields. Now on a 10-acre site botanists from LSUE have begun to recreate a chunk of "natural" Prairie habitat. Seeds were gathered from scattered strips of virgin Prairie and planted on tilled ground at this site.
