Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this more than 25-acre semi-tropical paradise filled with irises, magnolias, hibiscus, camellias, azaleas, annuals, and springtime bulbs surrounds the Joseph Jefferson Home. Rip Van Winkle Cottages', Joseph Jefferson's Servants Quarters, circa 1870; and Cook's Cottage, built in 1925; are open for overnight guests. Tours of the gardens are given on the hour, seven days a week, starting at 9:00 a.m.
