The only and original Voodoo Museum. Founded 1972. They are a member of the Louisiana Association of Museums. Learn about the most feared and powerful woman in New Orleans, Marie Laveau the "Voodoo Queen" while at this all-inclusive museum that displays numerous artifacts such as voodoo art, altars, totems, crafts, gris-gris bags, and voodoo dolls. You can also consult a psychic, hear lectures of the voodoo culture, and browse many original artwork including the famous portrait of Marie Laveau by Charles Massicot Gandolfo. An eclectic gift shop is also on site that sells love potions and other items modeled on the museum's displays. Open seven days a week from 10:00am until 6:00pm.
