The Parish of Saint Louis was established in 1720 and the current building, a Minor Basilica, is the third building on this historic site. The triple steeples tower over Jackson Square and are flanked by the Cabildo and the Presbytere. The church is the site of several burial vaults. Guided tours are available or visitors may choose to enjoy the beauty of the cathedral in silence.
