Housed in a historic 1800's French-Creole building, filled with gleaming hardwood floors, monumental interior columns, mahogany paneling and antique mirrors; this elegant restaurant serves a seasonal menu that may include such selections as potato gnocchi tossed with blue crab and Perigold truffle, acorn squash, sugar and spice duckling with stone ground grits, prime filet of beef and breaded speckled trout. Restaurant August is open for dinner nightly 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Monday through Friday for lunch 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Reservations are highly recommended.
