There is a lot of neat little shops and runtreasts in the French Market which serve authentic Louisiana food. If you walk around the quareter, lots of runtreasts have menus outside so you can make your decision. Plus, there are a few fast food places around if you want to eat really cheap. I'd reccomend the New Orleans Museam of Art, the Audobon Zoo (just a little heads up, it gets pretty hot over there), or the Aquarium of the Americas. All are really fantastic. I'd also reccomend taking a riverboat cruise down the Mississipi, that's always fun. A visit to St. Louis Catherdral is a must also. It's gorgeous, and it's one of the oldest churches in the US. Also, The Cabildo, The Presybeter are worth a look in too.The French Market has all kinds of homemade crafts and stuff, it's fun to barter with the people. If you want to go out of New Orleans, I'd reccomend going on a swamp tour. They're all over LA, you're bound to find one. It's good fun, but it gets kind of hot. Also, a Haunted History tour is really fun too. It shows you all the landmarks in the Quarter, as well as some fun ghost stories.Have fun, hope this helps!
