Once the home of Baron and Baroness Joseph Xavier de Pontalba and the official government house when Louisiana was still a French colony, this restored historic inn, situated near Bourbon Street, the French Market and Royal Street; offers 126 richly detailed and attractively furnished guest rooms and suites with hair dryers, irons, ironing boards, and original 19th century touches including beautiful brass beds and exposed brick walls.
