The oldest city market in America, this historic market was used by the Choctaw Indians as a trading post and meeting place before the Europeans settled into the area. There are five blocks of wonderful historical buildings housing a variety of specialty shops, restaurants, and entertainment. Notable areas of the market include the 24 hour Farmer’s Market, the Flea Market, and the world famous Cafe du Monde.
