Listed on the National Historic Register, this building was originally built in 1902 of Romanesque Revival architecture. On the grounds is a statue of Major General John Archer LeJeune, World War I hero for whom Camp LeJeune, North Carolina is named.

The only options the public has to research the Pointe Coupee Parish Clerk is to travel there and do it in person, or send a request in by mail. How inefficient and archaic is that?!

It is unbelievable, in this day and age, that a courthouse does not have a public on-line database to at least run name searches and/or obtain dates/casenumers. No access to copies, I can kind of understand that, but no access at all?! Come on folks......
