"A scientist's, historian's, and artist's delight", this National Historic Landmark was built during the late Industrial Revolution era and was the last operating steam powered water purification plant in the United States. This building, which is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places, still contains its original turn-of-the-19th century equipment.
