Occurring every Sunday in October, the Angola Rodeo is the longest running prison rodeo in the United States. A professionally produced rodeo, the Angola Rodeo also features inmate arts and crafts, food, and entertainment. Proceeds from the Angola Prison Rodeo cover rodeo costs and helps the Louisiana State Penitentiary Inmate Welfare Fund which provides for inmate educational and recreational supplies. Spring Rodeo in April call for more information.
