Butler Greenwood is situated among extensive landscaped grounds with formal 19th century gardens and hundreds of ancient moss-draped live oak trees. Having never been sold outside of the original family, this typical early raised, rambling English cottage-style home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The home still retains plenty of original furnishings, silver, portraits, and clothing.
