The 40-acre Baton Rouge Audubon Society Peveto Woods Sanctuary is located along the Louisiana coast in Cameron Parish. It was the first chenier, ancient beach ridges formed by wave action, offshore currents, and the Mississippi River, sanctuary for migratory birds established in Louisiana. Visitors can enjoy birding, butterfly watching, and photography.
