The Louisiana State Oil and Gas Museum, the "first public museum dedicated to the oil and gas industry," is housed in a 12,000 square foot, state of the art facility. Various exhibits include the Caddo Indian culture, full size replicas of early Oil City homes, scaled down, functional oil and gas retrieval equipment, and three historic boom town buildings.
