Madewood Plantation House, a 21-room Greek Revival-style mansion on Bayou Lafourche, midway between New Orleans and Baton Rouge and is a National Historic Landmark. Accommodations include rooms in the Main House and the Charlet House. Overnight guests enjoy an evening of wine and cheese, candlelit dinners, coffee, and brandy. A full plantation breakfast is served each morning. Guided tours are available daily.
