Operated under the aegis of the Andover Historical Society, the Blanchard House and Barn museum is geared towards recreating the life and world of the typical middle class family that inhabited Massachusetts in the early Nineteenth Century; through educational programs and changing exhibits, the interesting history of Andover, which spans three and a half centuries, is traced. In addition to the history exhibits, other exhibits are also featured, such as an exhibit of vintage automobiles, and the Andover Contemporary Artist Series, in which the works of locally prominent artists in a variety of media are exhibited.
