The Franklin Park Zoo covers seventy two acres within Boston’s historic Franklin Park, and features exhibits of animals that reflect and explore such diverse environs as the “Giraffe Savannah, Kalahari Kingdom, Butterfly Landing, Tropical Forest, Australian Outback, and Serengeti Crossing.” Founded in 1911, the zoo is now home to more than two hundred twenty species of animals.
