Since 1936 this museum has brought the best of contemporary art to Boston, including works by such now famous names as Picasso and Warhol; the museum today continues the mission of serving as the vanguard of contemporary art. While offering continuing and changing exhibitions that bring the best of contemporary art in the areas of painting, sculpture, and a variety of other media, the Institute of Contemporary Art also offers a variety of educational programs to the public.
