Tour Mary Baker Eddy's last home, a large stone building originally built for a Boston family in the 1880s. When she moved here, Mrs. Eddy was the recognized leader of a worldwide religious movement. She occupied a modest suite on the second floor, while most of the house served as executive headquarters for her to carry forward her work for the Christian Science movement. During her three years' residence here, she founded "The Christian Science Monitor," an international newspaper that is published today. She also made final revisions to her major work, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." Tours are available year-round on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. 48-hour advance reservation required.
