This historic Victorian town hall offers, besides its wonderful and striking architecture, a landmark clock tower, the 1648 deed for the purchase of the peninsula from the Native Americans, and the original copy of the famous painting “Spirit of ‘76” painted at the time of the Centennial, 1876, by Archibald M. Willard.
