Life like wax figures, made in London, are featured at this museum so as to be illustrative of the ways of life during the early years in Salem, with an emphasis on the infamous witch trials and the bold and daring seafarers who did so much to shape the character and history of Salem; one will also find wax figures depicting notable personages from the history of the region, such as noted writer Nathaniel Hawthorne.
