Surrounded by gracious gardens and a setting that recalls an early New England farm, this house has the distinction of being the oldest house on Cape Ann; one will get a feel for what life was like in the early 1700s in this area, and there is a choice of three early bed chambers that feature Eighteenth Century paneling; in addition there is also a loft accommodation that affords exquisite views of the harbour. The house had its beginning in late 1640's, Thomas Riggs bought it in 1661, his decendents sold it to the current owner 1995. One can enjoy breakfast in one of three locations: the old kitchen, the dining room, or the garden.
