Rodgers Tavern, located on the east bank of the Susquehanna River, was a popular stop for Colonial travelers when coming back and going to Philadelphia and among its patrons, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. The tavern is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is an excellent example of early 18th century American architecture with its stone exterior.
