Named for Benjamin Banneker and Frederick Douglass, the Banneker-Douglass Museum is dedicated to preserving Maryland's African American heritage. As the state's official repository of African American material culture, this museum’s collections include artifacts and photographs, African and African-American art, historical documents and rare books. It is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
