Housed in two Revolutionary War-era stone barracks, the school opened its doors with 34 students in 1868. The remaining Hessian Barracks are adjacent to the museum. The collection that began in 1872, contains school-related artifacts and many items of local interest relating to Frederick's long history. The Bjorlee Museum is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Appointments are suggested.
