The former Shakespeare Project, the Maryland Shakespeare Festival is a professional classical theater company that brings to life the passion and relevance of Shakespeare's plays by offering professional productions year round at their Elizabethan Playouse on West 2nd Street and outdoor performances around the state each June. They also provide educational programs for over 15,000 students a year.
