Laila's Kitchen (not Leila's) is in quaint downtown Hagerstown, a small city with many classic, red brick buildings. The owners cook your food to order--spicy or just flavorful. We tried the delicious lentil soup and an order of hummos accompanied by fresh bread. For our main course, we had the chicken kabob, which comes with a salad and rice. Everything looks great--the food and the decor are equally appealing for a lunch. Even the ice tea was outstanding. The service is friendly and prompt. We stopped off on our way from Washington, DC, to Pittsburgh. It's worth the few miles detour off the freeway and easy to find on U.S. 40 going west on Franklin Street in the downtown area.
