An affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, the 27,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art College Park Aviation Museum is housed on the property of the world's oldest continuously operating airport, College Park Airport, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and features a 1919 airmail hangar. The museum houses historic and reproduction aircrafts, hands-on activities, revolving exhibits, a non-circulating library, and programs.
