The first of Blue Hill’s grand summer cottages to be built, Barncastle's spacious and thoughtfully appointed guest rooms come complete with king-size beds, soft cotton sheets, down pillows and duvets, private baths with tiled showers, flat-screen TVs, wireless Internet access, coffeemakers, hairdryers and irons. A continental breakfast is offered. The Restaurant at Barncastle features a wood-fired pizza oven and offers both traditional Italian cuisine and New England comfort food. Vegetarian and vegan cuisine, salads, sandwiches and pizzas are available. Barncastle is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
