The Moosehead Marine Museum's main exhibit is the Katahdin, a National Historic Landmark that was built in 1914. Dedicated to preserving the glorious days of steamboating and the marine heritage of the Moosehead Lake Region, the Museum offers an extensive collection of steamboat memorabilia and early photographs of the Moosehead area. Owned and operated by the Moosehead Marine Museum, Katahdin Cruises travel Moosehead Lake, the largest lake in Maine; with narration provided of points of interest.
