  Housed in a building that is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, the L.C. Bates Museum features "unique natural history and culture collections." Museum exhibits include Maine natural history, Americana, art, archaeology, minerals and ethnology. The Museum is open April to November, Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sundays 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and or by appointment. more...
