At Kennebunk Veterinary Hospital, we know what makes your pets special, and how important it is to have a veterinary team you can trust.
We have a high rate of long term clients.
Why do people keep coming back? Because we are:
-Knowledgeable
-Trustworthy
-Compassionate
-Efficient
-Effective
We know our patients, their medical histories and their needs. We work closely with some of the country's best laboratories and specialists. And, most importantly, we partner with you and trust that you're the best person to make health decisions for your pet.
When you are choosing a veterinary provider, you should be able to count on superior care and excellent service. At Kennebunk Veterinary Hospital, we have assembled an expert team of veterinary professionals to bring you the best possible healthcare for your pet.
If your pet is experiencing any health issues, let us know about them when you schedule. This will ensure we schedule you appropriately.
If your pet is in good health, we should still see them for an annual check-up. This can set a baseline for your pet, which will help us spot changes early. The doctor will check the health of your pet from head to tail. This will include a full physical exam tailored to the animal's life stage, a dental exam and intestinal parasite checks, as needed. We will talk with you about appropriate vaccinations, preventative medicine and other health issues, making sure you understand your options. Many times, an annual checkup can help avoid costly and painful health problems before your pet even has symptoms.
You can ask your previous veterinary office to send your medical records to us
ahead of your appointment, which can save you time and money. Bring in any journal of your pet's health and behavioral issues if you've kept one. If not, let us know everything that you think will be important.
In some circumstances, the doctor will refer you to a specialist who has advanced expertise your pet's needs. We will continue to work in concert with the specialist as long as your pet needs the specialized care, much like your Primary Care Physician. We work with some of the finest specialist and specialty laboratories available.
Please let us know if you have questions about what to expect. We're looking forward to meeting you!
