Three main buildings make up this wonderful museum complex. The history museum contains changing exhibitions that cover over five centuries of Maine life, the research library contains the world's premier collection of Maine history printed materials, and the 1786 Wadsworth-Longfellow House is the childhood home of one of America's most famous 19th century poet, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
