I've eaten at this restaurant on several occasions because I wanted to see for myself what had changed about Rockland over the years, and what could be special about this place. While the location is absolutely fabulous, I've heard nothing but horror stories from employees about how they are treated by the owner, particularly Dave Cooke, the co-owner. Anyone who talks down to his employees and then expects them to go out with a cheerful, smiling face serving customers after being treated like garbage has to be absolutely stupid to think these hard working waitresses and restaurant staff are happy working for a jerk like this. If only customers knew how this jerk really treated his young staff, they would be hard pressed to want to return. This guy is no saint, and Amalfi's,while it may be charming on the outside, is not a place I would want to give my money to when he berates his staff, and treats them like garbage. Go take your money elsewhere, this place is not worth your time, nor is this pigheaded, egotistical human worth your money. It's too bad because his staff deserves a better owner and employer, and Rockland deserves a lot better from an enterpreneur.
