America's largest indoor and outdoor museum, this 12-acre museum preserves objects from the past including such world renowned items as Edgar Allen Poe's writing desk, a 1930s kitchen, the limousine in which President John F. Kennedy was assassinated, President Abraham Lincoln's chair that he was sitting in when he was shot, Rosa Parks' bus, a 1939 Douglas DC-3, Thomas Edison’s Menlo Park Office and Library, the Sarah Jordan Boarding House, and George Washington's camp bed.
