Built by the National Lighthouse Service, the Sand Point Lighthouse served mariners from 1868 until 1939. "One of the oldest and most historic buildings in the area," the Sand Point Lighthouse houses the Delta County Historical Society's archives, which include a copy of the original 1867 plan of the building.
