The Porcupine Mountains has 11 miles of slopes covering 100 acres over a 320-acre area. Over 20 trails, including more than 25 miles of groomed cross-country trails; a 641-foot vertical drop, the highest in Michigan or Wisconsin; an A-frame chalet, three rental ski-in cabins, campgrounds and more are available at the 60,000-acre Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park, "one of the few remaining large wilderness areas in the Midwest with towering virgin timber, secluded lakes and miles of wild rivers and streams."
