Make It Exceptional

Wedding was held May 2011.
Absolutely horrible experience with this company. Timeliness was unheard of as was honesty and professionalism. If you want an enjoyable, stress free experience from start to finish, use someone else! To say I over paid is an understatement! As a long distance bride I expected top notch service and it seemed to be a foreign concept to these people. My friends and family are what saved the event! This woman and her "staff" stood around for hours doing nothing while my F&F did all the set up, vacuuming, etc. It was beyond ridiculous! When we approached the planner after the event, it took weeks to get a response and she merely said "sorry you feel that way and you'll have to deal with the tent company on your own.". The tent came from Ultimate Events and was filthy dirty, stained and full of holes. This was the planner's idea of a "top-notch" company who was supposed to be the best in the business! Unfortunately the months of frustration leading up to and following the event are what we remember. Fortunately we have amazing pictures from the wedding to remind us of the good times however brief they may have been.

Unfortunately, this is a circumstance of although the event came out beautifully and we were told by the client and their guests at the event, the day following the event, and even in emails months after the event that it was wonderful and praised us for a job well done, an issue with a refund came up that we did not even hear about until 4 months following the event. This had to do with a problem with an outside vendor that the client requested a refund of and the vendor refused. The vendor was of the opinion what they were requesting was outside of the scope of what they paid for and although there were some small pinholes in the tent and some ripples in the carpet after setting up for the event, we had called the vendor and they sent out an additional crew and fixed everything with the customer there and was told at the time, by the customer, it was to the customer's satisfaction. Despite this, 4 months later they requested a refund and the vendor did not feel it was warranted. Our company did everything we could to act as the liaison for the client, but they are upset that their refund request was denied and have begun writing poor reviews. Budget was an issue for this couple and although things they wanted were clearly out of the scope of their budget, they continued to include them and now, are looking at ways to make up some of that difference. Another factor for the wedding to save costs; is they removed all service staff for set-up and tear-down services. They were to take on all of these responsibilities themselves. The day of the wedding, they failed to do these responsibilities, such as; setting up tables, moving tables, placing linens, moving chairs, setting up decorations, tending to glassware and a bonfire, and cleaning up food items. For the success of the event, despite the fact they had removed all service staff for these services, our staff performed all of these duties, free of charge, throughout the entire 19 hour day. Without us stepping in and providing these services this event would not have been a success and we assured that it was. We were taken advantage of but the end result was a beautiful event. We are very astounded at the lack of appreciation or truth regarding this and all matters in the review that was posted. We take great pride in our amazing events and outstanding customer service and we could not let this go without the truth being told.
